Volunteer Spotlight: Obianuju Udeagbala — Empowering the Next Generation Of Leaders

When you meet Obianuju Udeagbala, you quickly sense a blend of quiet strength and visionary drive. An accomplished Senior Product Manager and recognized leader in financial technology, Obianuju has spent over a decade shaping digital transformation across Africa. Yet, beyond the boardroom, she is deeply passionate about shaping people — especially young minds ready to lead with purpose.

As part of Lighted Pearl Africa’s Youth Conference (TYC) mentorship tour, Obianuju brought her wealth of experience into classrooms and hearts. Facilitating a session on Time Management at Lagos City College, she helped students connect the discipline of time with their dreams and daily decisions.

Under the strategic leadership of the Foundation, this year’s TYC reached more than 1,500 young people across several schools — equipping them with transformative insights, essential life skills, and empowering networks. For Obianuju, it was more than a speaking engagement; it was a moment of mentorship that reflected her lifelong commitment to excellence and service.

“Seeing the enthusiasm and curiosity of these young minds reminded me why mentorship and knowledge-sharing are so powerful,” she shared after the session.

Armed with an MBA and global credentials including PMP, CBAP, and ITIL v4, Obianuju continues to model what it means to blend professional excellence with purpose-driven leadership. Through her volunteerism with Lighted Pearl Africa, she demonstrates that real success is measured not only in milestones achieved — but in lives transformed.
