The Driving Force

Picture a child, stomach growling with hunger, feeling hopeless and alone. That’s how Moses Okenla felt as a young man, struggling to finance his education through menial jobs. It was a dark time in his life, until a simple act of kindness from a local church transformed his outlook on life.

Moses was given food packs on a bright Sunday morning, and in that moment, he saw the power of generosity and compassion. He knew he had to do something to help those who were in the same desperate situation he had once been in. That’s why he founded the Lighted Pearl Africa Foundation in 2020.

His aim was to bridge the hunger gap and empower vulnerable individuals in society to lead better lives.
